Why Personal Training at Home?

There is so much evidence that exercise is good for everyone, but many have difficulty doing it on their own. I help clients exercise with a program specifically designed for you. Keeping in mind injuries and diagnoses, I design a program that will safely challenge you and help build strength and endurance. Specific balance exercises – that are often unsafe to do alone – can improve balance and safety with walking, and reduce the risk of falling. All this can be done at home while having a professional monitor vital signs and look out for any adverse effects. Medicare pays for some of these services under certain circumstances and if this is the case I will let you know.

What to Expect

During your first visit we will discuss your goals and I will perform a comprehensive evaluation. Together we will create a treatment plan which includes how the frequency and focus of your sessions such as strengthening, balance, safety or endurance.

What is the Cost?

Clients pay privately as I do not take insurance. This allows me to treat you according to what you need, not what insurance thinks you need or what they are willing to pay for. If you qualify for homebound services as defined by Medicare, I can connect you to an appropriate agency. My services are delivered once Medicare has decided you no longer qualify for them to pay for services.

About Dr. Debi Kelley, PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy, Health and Wellness Coach

Debi started Restore Physical Therapy, LLC in 2008 after seeing how her clients’ needs extended well beyond what their insurance would cover. In 2021 she decided to formalize the coaching she has been doing as a Physical Therapist for so many years and completed the Catalyst Coaching Health and Wellness Program. Debi graduated with Honors from Hahnemann University (now Drexel) in 1997 with a Master of Physical Therapy and from Regis University in 2007 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy with Honors.

She is excited to serve clients in person in the Denver metro area as a fourth-generation Coloradan, and clients on Zoom when that is more convenient. When not working, Debi enjoys volunteering on various Boards, walking her dog, traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband and sons.

Debi is passionate about empowering clients to live their best life, regardless of their situation or stage in life.  Whether it’s by serving clients in their homes to improve their quality of life, feel better, safer and maintain their independence, or coaching them through challenges.  She has worked in a variety of settings including acute care, rehabilitation, nursing homes and outpatient clinics, serving clients with balance and walking problems, joint replacements, neurological issues (stroke, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, etc), trauma, burns & wound care, post-surgical care, endocrine (diabetes), wheelchair assessments, and cardiac and respiratory issues.

Debi has worked with me for nine months after I experienced a massive stroke that made my left side unusable. She significantly improved my mobility and independence. I would recommend her without question for any Physical Therapy needs.”

Debi’s manual therapy skills are excellent. She made my bursitis feel much better. Her teaching skills and understanding of the mechanics of how a body works are great. She is always very cheerful and encouraging.

Debi’s work with my elderly mother allowed Mom to stay independent and safely at home.  The routine varied subject to Mom’s abilities and needs each day.  She is warm and genuine, Debi has an enthusiastic spirit that made Mom want to do more; she was the professional visit that we all looked forward to each week.  I highly recommended Debi for rehab as well as maintaining daily strength, balance and learning to adjust to new circumstances.

Working with Debi to improve balance is an exhilarating experience. She performs therapy as a treatment that heals and provides strategies that are permanent and enriching.

We hired Debi after my Dad had a couple of bad falls and we were worried he’d need to move to Assisted Living for his own safety. Debi worked with my Dad twice a week until he not only regained his strength & mobility, but even returned to the golf course! Leaning over to pick up a golf tee was no longer a scare. Dad regained his balance and dexterity within a matter of a few weeks. I credit Debi for giving my Dad an extra year of independence and quality of life until his passing.
